ELIZABETH ELLIOT
Senior Training and Organizational Change Consultant

Elizabeth Elliott offers over 20 years of experience in adult education, training and organizational development. Her strength is a practical approach to the professional development of employees and managers geared toward producing measurable business results. She has extensive experience in managing large organizational change and training projects.

As a Senior Training Manager at Bank of America, Liz has partnered with clients in retail and whole sale businesses, sales and operations areas, and staff functions. She has extensive experience in implementing Credit Culture and other large scale business change initiatives. Her main area of concentration has been organizational and individual performance improvement projects. Areas of expertise include competency identification and assessment methods; training needs analysis, program design, implementation and evaluation; management and staff development; work process redesign and project and department management. Liz is a skilled meeting facilitator and team builder.

Consulting experience includes banks in Mexico and Turkey, where she consulted in the design, development and implementation of credit training programs and in the installation of professional training organization.

Liz has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the California Banking School.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

TRAINING AND ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT 1995-Present

Project managed a large scale training consulting project for Bancomer, Mexico’s second largest commercial bank. Designed and developed Credit Training Curriculum. Consulted in the development of a new training organization including physical plant, organizational structure, staffing, planning and evaluation. Provided project management and executive coaching to department heads. Trained junior staff in the disciplines of performance improvement, change management and training design and delivery. Designed and conducted train the trainer sessions for line staff with training responsibility. Consulted to line management advisory boards.

BANK OF AMERICA, San Francisco: 1981 - 1995

VICE PRESIDENT/MANAGER, ORGANIZATIONAL EFFECTIVENESS  1993 - 1995

Facilitated action teams in redesigning Human Resources processes. Recommendations resulted in $2.5MM direct savings to the bottom line. Designed communication strategies to introduce new organizational vision to 1000 HR staff worldwide. Led team of key department leaders in identification of core HR competencies and the creation of a professional development program. Designed a decentralized organizational structure to introduce the concept and develop the skills of teams throughout the company. Member of cross-functional team which designed radically new approach to performance management. Pilot funded by bank’s Managing Committee.

VICE PRESIDENT/MANAGER, TRAINING DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT:  1991 - 1993

Managed training design and development units that produced business-driven training programs. Produced measurable performance improvement results. Clients included retail, wholesale, and mortgage banking, operations and servicing functions, headquarters and field groups. Audiences ranged from non-exempt staff through executive levels. Managed staffs of highly talented professionals. Budgets up to $8MM

VICE PRESIDENT/MANAGER, TRAINING OPERATIONS: 1987 - 1991

Responsible for all planning, logistical support for training implementation in California. Budget of $2+MM, 125 employees, in five locations. Achieved headcount and facilities savings of 5% after first year. Administered over
15, 000 training days per year.

EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT CONSULTANT: 1981 - 1987

Designed, developed and implemented high quality training programs to improve individual and business performance. Key deliverables included: 18 week, post MBA Credit training program for corporate and commercial account officers, Consumer Credit training, Quality Circles implementation, Staff Consulting Skills training, Instructional Design and Presentation training.

INDEPENDENT TRAINING CONSULTANT: 1979 - 1981

Developed management and employee development programs for various California-based clients including Ralston-Purina/Foodmaker, Security Pacific National Bank and Bank of America, NT&SA.

ADULT EDUCATION AND ESL SPECIALIST: 1971 - 1979

Managed public and private sector adult education operations. Trained teachers, developed functional and technical English language training programs, US and Overseas assignments.
