Carol Lipworth has over 12 years of experience in performance improvement, training, and organizational development.  She specializes in the design and development of customized training programs that are focused on meeting the needs of business and improving organizational performance. 

As an independent consultant since 1996, she has worked with international financial services clients to improve overall performance and training effectiveness.  Her areas of expertise include: needs assessment and task analysis, strategic business planning, management and employee skill development, senior executive development and coaching, implementation of human resources and training initiatives, marketing and communications, evaluation of training effectiveness, project management, and facilitation.  Prior to 1996, she was responsible for management development at Franklin Templeton Group, Inc.  There she consulted with internal clients to determine performance problems in the management group and provide solutions to increase effectiveness and meet organizational goals.

U.S. Clients: Franklin Templeton Group, Inc., San Mateo, CA; Children’s Hospital of Oakland, Oakland, CA

Assignments include restructuring a training unit at a bank in Turkey to focus on the business, heading an advisory team to develop and implement a Personal Banking unit for an Indonesian bank, development and delivery of a customized sales and portfolio management training program for the same bank, assessing and recommending a new training organizational structure that would support the new business of a merging bank in Thailand, program management of an international banking program in Indonesia and China, design of marketing materials, and Web site development.  Other assignments include design, development, and facilitation of various management development and skill development training programs; and the design of both policy/procedure and sales manuals.

Managed the training department and partnered with major business units to meet strategic performance goals.  Led large-scale change initiatives and process improvement efforts throughout the organization.  Improved existing training programs to focus on adult learning and performance improvement.  Designed and implemented a corporate orientation to instill corporate mission, philosophy, and goals.  Created the company’s first course on Innovation and Creativity.

Continental Airlines, Houston, TX

Designed and facilitated corporate Leadership Development Workshops, Sexual Harassment Prevention training for 9000 management employees, and Corporate Orientation for new employees; designed, facilitated, and implemented company-wide Time Management training.
